Getting Divorced by is Affordable.
We usually let you pay only a small portion of the fee to start the case and we continue to represent you as long as you can make the agreed upon monthly payment. We believe that one should not go without effective representation simply because he or she is not able to pay all of his or her fees up front.
While the issue of "Flat Fee Billing" is controversial among lawyers, we firmly believe it benefits our clients for several reasons. First of all, it is all too common to see a litigant start a proceeding on an hourly billing basis only to see him or her have to give up the fight because of far greater than expected attorney fees. We have found that this can be avoided with the flat fee system. Further, a billing system based on hours worked actually rewards inefficiency, while the flat fee system rewards efficiency. Obviously, the more efficient the law firm is, the greater value it can provide its client. With that said, you can always get at free initial divorce consultation, simply by mentioning the website "Divorce Granted", when you call the firm.
Lawyer / Client Communication:
We know that during the stressful litigation experience, communication with your divorce attorney can be crucial. Many law firms charge their clients a minimum of 15 minutes of time for each call to the firm. These fees can add up and discourage effective communication.
Family Law Practice Philosophy:
PHILOSOPHY: Because we understand how stressful litigation can be to our clients, at Marx, Altman & Johnson, we manage to accomodate the needs of our clients and make their proceedings as painless as possible.
FLAT FEES: We charge a flat fee for our services. When you tell us what you need, we tell you exactly what it will cost. We do not work on an hourly billing basis unless the client asks.
FREE PHONE CALLS AND VISITS: At Marx, Altman & Johnson, once you are our client, we will not bill you for calling our office or making an appointment to stop by with a question.
PAYMENT PLANS: At Marx, Altman, & Johnson, we understand that many people who need our services cannot afford to pay all of their fees up front.
